W dniach 25-27 lipca 2018 r. w Quito odbędzie się konferencja ‘Power Reconfigurations: Regional and Global Responses in an Age of Uncertainty’, organizowana przez FLACSO i International Studies Association. Szczególne ogłoszenie dotyczy panelu poświęconego międzynarodowemu prawu inwestycyjnemu. Poniżej opis proponowanej w związku z tym tematyki wystąpień dotyczących tej dziedziny prawa:
The international system has transformed in the last decades; although the United States and Europe have both independently and collectively led it, their leadership has not gone uncontested. The rise of the BRICS has caused a profound transformation of global politics, which, vis-à-vis the recent globalization backlash in the U.S. and Europe, opens up new global and regional challenges. The International Investment Law section of this conference is aimed to analyze the various forms of struggles that are remaking the rules for foreign investment at the global and regional levels and the ongoing transformations of the discipline.
