Call for papers: Workshop Jean Monnet NOVA-EU: EU Democracy and Rule of Law (online, czerwiec 2021 r.)

W dniach 24-25 czerwca br. odbędą się warsztaty Jean Monnet NOVA-EU: EU Democracy and Rule of Law.
Organizatorzy chcieliby, aby zgłoszenia dotyczyły zwłaszcza następujących tematów:
  • What is there to protect? Democracy and the rule of law as common values of the European Union, and the question of (the lack of) common standards;
  • Monitoring, peer review, and measuring democracy and the rule of law, in particular with reference to the Commission Rule of Law Reports;
  • The use of conditionality as a tool to protect and promote democracy and the rule of law, before and after accession, and the new Regulation ‘on a general regime of conditionality for the protection of the Union budget’
  • The role of European and national courts and judges in protecting democracy and the rule of law, as well as the role of new actors (civil society, NGOs, citizens, agencies, etc);
  • Possible new paths and initiatives for the protection and promotion of democracy and the rule of law in the EU and the Member States.
Zgłoszenia (abstrakt do 500 słów wraz z krótką notką biograficzną) należy przesyłać do 28 lutego br.
Planowana jest publikacja pokonferencyjna.

Call for papers: 18th Dubrovnik Jean Monnet Seminar: Advanced Issues of European Law ‘The EU as a Green Leader’ (Dubrownik, kwiecień 2020 r.)

W dniach 23-26 kwietnia br. w Dubrowniku odbędzie się seminarium pt. ‘The EU as a Green Leader’. 
Wystąpienia mogą dotyczyć m.in.:
  • the extraterritorial reach of EU environmental law
  • EU’s influence on global standard setting in climate change law, or more broadly environmental law
  • EU’s leadership potential in climate change law, or more broadly environmental law
  • the consistency of EU’s climate change legislation
  • carbon leakage
  • the role of the EU in conclusion and implementation of the Paris Agreement
  • the introduction of border carbon adjustments
  • the development of global standards for aviation and shipping greenhouse gas emissions.

Planowana jest publikacja pokonferencyjna.
Istnieje możliwość ubiegania się o grant na pokrycie kosztów udziału w konferencji.

Call for papers: ECLIC International Scientific Conference “EU 2020 – lessons from the past and solutions for the future“ (Osijek, maj 2020 r.)

W dniach 14-15 maja 2020 r. na Wydziale Prawa Uniwersytetu w Osijek w Chorwacji odbędzie się konferencja pt. "EU 2020 – lessons from the past and solutions for the future". Call for papers: Health in Europe (Belfast, wrzesień 2020 r.)

W dniach 6-9 września 2020 r. w Belfaście odbędzie się konferencja University Association for Contemporary European Studies. Organizatorzy przewidzieli w jej trakcie panel pt. "Health in Europe". Proponowane tematy wystąpień podczas panelu to:
· Public health, health determinants and health inequalities in and across member states
· The role of European actors – the Commission, the Parliament, the agencies, WHO Europe etc. – in health and health governance
· The impact of the single market upon health systems, for example via competition law, pharmaceutical regulation, migration of health professionals, trade
· Governing health emergencies and managing collective health threats in Europe
· The inclusion of health in broader governance frameworks such as the European Semester, the Pillar of Social Rights, Europe 2020

Call for papers: 7th Workshop on EU-China Relations (Astana, kwiecień 2018)

UACES orazKonrad-Adenauer-Stiftung – Regional Project Energy Security and Climate Change (RECAP) zapraszają do udziału w warsztatach które odbędą się w dnia 24-26 kwietnia 2018 r. w Astanie (Kazachstan). Tytuł warsztatów to "7th Workshop on EU-China Relations: European and Asian Perspectives on China’s Belt & Road Initiative".

Organizatorzy są zainteresowani nastepującymi tematami:
  • China's BRI and the evolving global order: In search for theoretical and analytical macro-level approaches 
  • Central Asian, Middle Eastern, South Asian and Southeast Asian perspectives on the BRI at the regional, national and subnational level
  • BRI and China-Europe relations – on the regional, national and subnational level
  • Climate change, sustainability and energy security of a ‘green’ BRI 
  • Innovation, technology, and digitisation in the context of the BRI
