Konferencja: "Eth­ical Lead­er­ship in In­ter­na­tional Or­gan­iz­a­tions: Con­cepts, Nar­rat­ives, Judg­ment and As­sess­ment" (Helsinki, 7-8 czerwca 2018)

Instytut Prawa Międzynarodowego i Praw Człowieka Erika Castréna, Wydziału Prawa Uniwersytetu w Helsinkach organizuje dwudniową, międzynarodową konferencję naukową pt. "Eth­ical Lead­er­ship in In­ter­na­tional Or­gan­iz­a­tions: Con­cepts, Nar­rat­ives, Judg­ment and As­sess­ment". Odbędzie się ona w dniach 7-8 czerwca 2018 r. Wydarzenie to będzie poświęcone przywództwu i etyce organizacji międzynarodowych oraz problematyce globalnego zarządzania.

Call for papers: Access and Exclusion in Global Governance (Barcelona, styczeń 2018)

Organizatorzy Barcelona Workshop on Global Governance zapraszają do przesyłania propozycji prezentacji na kolejne - piąte - warsztaty które odbędą się w dniach 11-12 stycznia 2018 r. Temat przyszłorocznych warsztatów to "Access and Exclusion in Global Governance". Organizatorzy są szczególnie zainteresowani następującymi tematami:

• Legal-institutional: what mechanisms exist to regulate access and exclusion in different settings? What variety can we observe in institutional design, and how can we explain it? To what extent can we identify models for different institutional types – e.g., international organizations, government networks, private authority? Is the creation of access pathways due to contestation and mobilization by outsiders, or is it the result of institutional mimesis and the creation of a new normality?
• Empirical: what are the effects of the different mechanisms in the operation of global governance? Which actors benefit from them, and how much? What are the conditions that make access tools effective for different actors? What strategies do external actors use in front of different access mechanisms? In which contexts is the creation of access mechanisms merely a figleaf, in which does it have actual bite? And who remains excluded and why?
• Normative: who should be entitled to access, and who should remain outside governance structures? What is the proper balance between government control and stakeholder participation, and how does it vary across issue areas? How can stakeholder representatives be effectively connected to their constituencies, or is virtual representation a desirable option?

Call for Papers: Adaptation and Change in Global Governance (Barcelona, luty 2016)

Institut Barcelona d’Estudis Internacionals oraz ESADE Business School Center for Global Economy and Geopolitics zapraszają do przesyłania propozycji referatów na 4th Barcelona Workshop on Global Governance, który odbędzie się w Barcelonie w dniach od 4-5 lutego 2016 r. Temat przyszłorocznych warsztatów to "Adaptation and Change in Global Governance."

Organizatorzy są szczególnie zainteresowany nastepującymi tematami: 

• How do institutions adapt in response to external changes? Are some kinds of institution more adaptable than others? What determines their level of adaptability? 
• What are the main drivers of internal change in international organizations? How is such change resisted, accepted, and managed? 
• What role does individual leadership play in guiding change in global governance institutions? 
• How do global governance institutions provoke change in international norms, structures, and other actors?

L’Istituto di ricerche sulla pubblica amministrazione (IRPA) wspólnie z Justus Liebig University Giessen organizują coroczne seminarium poświęcona Global Administrative Law. Temat dziesiątej edycji jest "Law and Global Governance of Development". W tym kontekście, organizatorzy zapraszają do przesyłania propozycji referatów.
