Zgłoszenia (formularz wraz z listem motywacyjnym do 500 słów i CV do 2 stron) należy przesyłać do 26 lipca br.

Opłata za udział w kursie wynosi 400 euro (dla naukowców)/600 euro (dla pracowników NGOs i sektora publicznego)/ 800 euro (dla pozostałych).

Redakcja czasopisma "Nuovi Autoritarismi e Democrazie: Diritto, Istituzioni, Società" (New Authoritarian Regimes and Democracies: Law, Institutions, Society) zaprasza do przesyłania zgłoszeń do kolejnego numeru (1/2021), którego tematem przewodnim będzie “Democracy and rule of law in crisis: National and EU context compared”. Teksty mogą być napisane w językach włoskim, angielskim, francuskim lub hiszpańskim. Termin nadsyłania esejów mija 15 kwietnia. Istnieje także możliwość publikacji artykułów na inne, dowolne tematy (termin nadsyłania zgłoszeń upływa 15 maja).

Call for papers: Workshop Jean Monnet NOVA-EU: EU Democracy and Rule of Law (online, czerwiec 2021 r.)

W dniach 24-25 czerwca br. odbędą się warsztaty Jean Monnet NOVA-EU: EU Democracy and Rule of Law.

Organizatorzy chcieliby, aby zgłoszenia dotyczyły zwłaszcza następujących tematów:

• What is there to protect? Democracy and the rule of law as common values of the European Union, and the question of (the lack of) common standards;
• Monitoring, peer review, and measuring democracy and the rule of law, in particular with reference to the Commission Rule of Law Reports;
• The use of conditionality as a tool to protect and promote democracy and the rule of law, before and after accession, and the new Regulation ‘on a general regime of conditionality for the protection of the Union budget’
• The role of European and national courts and judges in protecting democracy and the rule of law, as well as the role of new actors (civil society, NGOs, citizens, agencies, etc);
• Possible new paths and initiatives for the protection and promotion of democracy and the rule of law in the EU and the Member States.

Zgłoszenia (abstrakt do 500 słów wraz z krótką notką biograficzną) należy przesyłać do 28 lutego br.

Planowana jest publikacja pokonferencyjna.

Call for papers: Conference on the “Rule of Law from Below. Individuals and Civil Society as Protectors of the Rule of Law in Troubled Times” (Utrecht, październik 2020 r.)

W dniu 29 października 2020 r. w Utrechcie odbędzie się konferencja pt. "Rule of Law from Below. Individuals and Civil Society as Protectors of the Rule of Law in Troubled Times”.

Organizatorzy przewidują cztery panele, do których powinny nawiązywać zgłoszenia:

1. The role of the civil society and civic space supporting the rule of law

2. The role of religious/traditional groups in promoting the values underlying the rule of law

3. The role of civilians and community leaders in protecting the rule of law in armed conflict

4. The role of civil society in documenting serious human rights violations and protecting the rule of law through ensuring accountability

Zgłoszenia (abstrakt do 400 słów i biogram do 300 słów) należy przesyłać do 15 marca br. na adres Montaignecentrum@uu.nl.

Przewidywana jest publikacja pokonferencyjna.

Minerva Center for the Study of the Rule of Law under Extreme Conditions zaprasza do nadsyłania propozycji badawczych w temacie "the Rule of Law under the extreme conditions'. Centrum jest zainteresowane zwłaszcza następującymi tematami:

• National security emergencies - wars, terrorism, counter-terrorism, cyber and military actions
• Natural and man-made disasters - epidemics, floods, storms, fires, tsunamis and earthquakes, including induced man-made natural disasters.
• Socioeconomic and political crises - economic meltdowns and severe sociopolitical fragmentation

Istnieje możliwość wsparcia m.in. krótszych i dłuższych staży postdoc, sfinansowania propozycji badawczych lub trwających badań, organizacji konferencji i publikacji. Zgłoszenia należy przesyłać do 7 lutego 2020 r.
