Call for papers: Sanctions and Africa: an International Law and Politics Conference (Londyn, grudzień 2021 r.)

W dniach 9-10 grudnia br. odbędzie się Sanctions and Africa: an International Law and Politics Conference.
Tematy, które mają zostać poruszone w wystąpieniach to:
  • The positions of African actors (states, economic actors, civil society, and intergovernmental organizations) regarding the legality or functioning of contemporary sanctions
  • Successful and unsuccessful interventions of African states and non-state actors in the development of international law and shaping of political practice relating to sanctions
  • Comparative analysis of African sanctions practices with national and regional practices in other regions of the world
  • Sanctions policy and practice from outside of Africa (global, EU, US) bearing a distinctive impact on the continent
  • The role of sanctions in promoting peace and security in Africa
  • Cross-cutting sanctions issues affecting African states and non-state actors
  • Meta-reflections on the state of Africa-centred sanctions research
  • Unintended consequences of sanctions imposed against African targets
Zgłoszenia (abstrakt do 300 słów) należy przesyłać do 15 września br.
Planowana jest publikacja pokonferencyjna.

Call for papers: 10th Annual Conference of the African Society of International Law (Addis Abeba, październik 2021 r.)

W dniach 29-30 października br. w Addis Abebie odbędzie się 10th Annual Conference of the African Society of International Law "Africa and International Trade Law".
Przykładowe tematy, które zostaną poruszone w czasie konferencji to:
Theme I: New rules and policies for inter-African trade following the AfCFTA
Theme II: African trade relations with the rest of the world
Theme III: The AfCFTA and regional economic integration
Theme IV: International financial markets, e-commerce, and other technological considerations
Theme V: African trade, sustainable development, human rights, and the environment
Theme VI: African trade, investment, competition law, and intellectual property
Theme VII: African trade and dispute resolution (domestic, regional and international options)
Zgłoszenia (abstrakt 250-500 słów wraz z CV) należy przesyłać do 30 czerwca br.

Call for papers: African Yearbook of International Humanitarian Law

Redakcja African Yearbook of International Humanitarian Law zaprasza do nadsyłania zgłoszeń do kolejnego numeru czasopisma (za 2020 r., numer ukaże się w 2021 r.). Teksty powinny dotyczyć międzynarodowego prawa humanitarnego oraz międzynarodowego prawa karnego i sprawiedliwości okresu przejściowego w odniesieniu do Afryki lub z uwzględnieniem afrykańskiej perspektywy.
Artykuły muszą mieć objętość 7.000-10.000 słów, a krótsze formy "Current Development" do 3.000 słów.
Zgłoszenia należy przesyłać do 15 maja na adres ljnel1988@gmail.com.

Call for papers: African Yearbook of International law

Redakcja African Yearbook of International law zaprasza do nadsyłania zgłoszeń do kolejnego numeru czasopisma (vol. 24). Oprócz artykułów dotyczących dowolnej problematyki, numer ten poświęcony będzie także tematyce specjalnej, tj. "African Regional Law and Health: Present Status and Prospects”. 
Zgłoszenia należy przesyłać do 15 listopada br. (do 30 sierpnia należy zgłosić proponowany temat artykułu).

Redakcja Journal of African Law zaprasza do nadsyłania zgłoszeń do numeru specjalnego czasopisma, poświęconego tematyce pandemii koronawirusa.
Teksty mogą poruszać zwłaszcza następujące tematy:
  • Covid-19 and the right to health/health laws 
  • Covid-19, emergency laws and law enforcement 
  • Covid-19 and human rights law (particularly freedom and the security of the person, freedom of expression, assembly, movement and residence, trade, occupation and profession, the right to education, right to privacy and access to information) 
  • Covid-19 and governance/public institutions, particularly the role of courts, oversight institutions and parliaments 
  • Covid-19 and its impact on marginalised/vulnerable persons, such as persons living in poverty

Redakcja African Human Rights Yearbook zaprasza do nadsyłania zgłoszeń artykułów w trzech kategoriach:
1. Artykuły dotyczące ochrony praw człowieka w Afryce;
2. Artykuły związane z tematem przewodnim 2020 r. "Silencing the guns: Creating conducive conditions for Africa’s development";
3. Glosy.

Call for papers: African Yearbook of International Humanitarian Law

African Yearbook of International Humanitarian Law zaprasza do nadsyłania zgłoszeń do swojego numeru specjalnego poświęconego Afryce i 70. rocznicy przyjęcia konwencji genewskich. Artykuły (8.000-10.000 słów) należy przesyłać do 1 marca 2020 r. 
Oprócz tego redakcja oczekuje również na teksty dotyczące ogólnej problematyki międzynarodowego prawa humanitarnego, międzynarodowego prawa karnego i transitional justice (3.000-4.000 słów). Call for contributions: Contemporary expressions of the foreign relations of subnational governments in Africa

Czasopismo "Regional & Federal Studies" zaprasza do nadsyłania propozycji artykułów do swojego specjalnego numeru, który ukaże się pod hasłem "Contemporary expressions of the foreign relations of subnational governments in Africa".
Tematy, które artykuły zgłoszone do tego wydania powinny poruszać, obejmują:
  • Single or comparative country case studies focusing on the experience in federal or decentralised political systems in Africa such as Nigeria, Ethiopia, South Africa or Kenya. 
  • Critical analyses and reflections on the constitutional and legal orders within which subnational governments in Africa conduct their foreign relations. 
  • The foreign policy implications of the international relations of subnational governments, including the nature of intergovernmental relations on foreign affairs. 
  • Cross-border cooperation involving subnational governments in both contiguous and non-contiguous African territories e. Foreign relations of subnational governments in Francophone and Lusophone Africa. 
  • The implications of the internationalisation of African cities for the nature of socioeconomic development and social cohesion in these urban areas. 
  • The international relations of subnational governments, Agenda 2063, and the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). 
  • The agency of African subnational governments in global networks.
  • Democratic participation and accountability in the foreign relations of subnational governments in Africa
