Call for papers: Towards a Global Legal Framework in Harmony and Peace with Nature (Madryt, listopad 2021 r.)

W dniu 19 listopada br. w Madrycie odbędzie się konferencja pt. "Towards a Global Legal Framework in Harmony and Peace with Nature".

Wystąpienia mogą dotyczyć m.in. następujących tematów:

− Environmental governance to tackle the climate change, biodiversity and pollution crises and averting the next Pandemic. The One-Health approach (focus can include specific regions or countries in tackling Covid-19)

− Financing sustainable development. Converting sovereignty debt to finance stewardship

− Strengthening governance through ecological management systems (gaps in current systems)

− Rights of Nature & Earth Jurisprudence (harmony and peace with Nature)

− Capacity building for implementing environmental law

− Environmental peacebuilding

− The pathway to a high-level political declaration in 2022

Zgłoszenia (biogram o objętości do 5 wersów wraz z abstraktem 500-750 słów) należy przesyłać do 1 września br.

Autorzy 10 najlepszych propozycji zostaną zaproszeni do udziału w konferencji.

Organizatorzy dofinansują koszty podróży i zakwaterowania do 250 euro.

Call for papers: New Voices and New Ideas on Women, Peace and Security Agenda

Agency for Peacebuilding zaprasza do nadsyłania artykułów w ramach prowadzonego projektu "Women Enhancing Participation in Peace and Security". Ogłoszenie skierowane jest zarówno do praktyków, jak i do badaczy, którzy zajmują się tematyką kobiet, pokoju i bezpieczeństwa na Bliskim Wschodzie, w Afryce Północnej i na Bałkanach Zachodnich.

Termin nadsyłania artykułów upływa 14 kwietnia br. Teksty zostaną opublikowane na stronie internetowej Agency for Peacebuilding. Autorzy wybranych do publikacji artykułów otrzymają wynagrodzenie w wysokości 150 euro.

Call for papers: Journal of International Peace and Organization

Redakcja Journal of International Peace and Organization zaprasza do nadsyłania artykułów do numeru 93 (1-2/2020). Tematem przewodnim będzie "Current Challenges to Regional Human Rights Systems: Europe, Americas, Africa and the Arab World". W związku z tym, redakcja oczekuje na teksty dotyczące m.in. następujących zagadnień omówionych z interdyscyplinarnej perspektywy:

• Comparative analysis: differences amongst the regional human rights instruments (Europe; Americas; Africa; Arab World); respective strengths and weaknesses;
• Achievements in the past: (legal) historical analysis of regional human rights systems and their social context;
• Current challenges: protection gaps; lack of enforceability;
• Recent developments: recent jurisprudence or institutional changes, these could include pieces on issues such as migration, environmental issues and resource scarcity, minority rights or other thematic issues;
• Looking ahead: conclusions from the comparative analyses of the various regional human rights instruments to improve the human rights protection on the international as well as regional level.

Przy okazji 2020 ESIL Research Forum organizowanego na Uniwersytecie w Katanii, ESIL IG on Peace and Security ogłosiła nabór na side event pt. "The Question of Solidarity in Peace and Security", które odbędzie się w dniu 23 kwietnia 2020 r. Organizatorzy zainteresowani są zwłaszcza następującymi tematami:

• The legal relationship between sovereignty, solidarity and utopia 
• Solidarity, utopia and peace, and their theoretical alignment 
• The balance between the competing demands of solidarity and security 
• Isolationism, security and solidarity
