10th Anniversary of the EU's Biggest Enlargement and the Future of the EU
As we approach the 10th anniversary of the EU’s ten-country enlargement of 2004, the anniversary and the various aspects related to it suggests itself as an obvious topic for the 2014 edition of our journal. This time span is fully appropriate to explore a number of institutional, legal, economic, social, and cultural aspects of the 2004 Enlargement – both from the point of view of the European Union and that of the ten new member states. Additionally, the effects of the enlargement also impact on various issues concerning the future of the EU.
