Call for papers: 13th ESIL Annual Conference "Global Public Goods, Global Commons and Fundamental Values: The Responses of International Law" (Neapol, wrzesień 2017)

European Society of International Law (ESIL) ogłosiło call for papers dotyczący swojej corocznej konferencji (już trzynastej), która tym razem odbędzie się w Neapolu w dniach 7-9 września 2017 r. Temat przewodni konferencji to "Global Public Goods, Global Commons and Fundamental Values: The Responses of International Law".

Organizatorzy planują następujące agory:
  • Agora 1: The Right to Water in International Law 
  • Agora 2: Global Public Goods: Regulatory and Governance Challenges 
  • Agora 3: New Challenges in the Fight against Terrorism 
  • Agora 4: The Climate Regime: A Post-Paris Assessment 
  • Agora 5: The Protection of Cultural Heritage in International Law. 
  • Agora 6: Refugee Protection: A Test for European Fundamental Values? 
  • Agora 7: The Defence of General Interests in Cyberspace 
  • Agora 8: Liberalizing Trade and Investment as a Global Public Good
  • Agora 9: The Fight against Impunity: An Appraisal
  • Agora 10: Financial Stability as a Global Public Good.

Call for submissions: Italian Yearbook of International Law

Italian Yearbook of International Law zaprasza do przesyłania propozycji artykułów do swojego następnego numeru (XXVI/2016) zatytułowanego "International Law in Regional and Domestic Legal Systems". Redaktorzy numeru są zainteresowani następującymi tematami:
  • Methodological approaches to the relationship between international, regional and national legal systems
  • Historical and doctrinal perspectives on the relationship between international, regional and national legal systems
  • Supremacy and direct effect of international law: new problems, new processes
  • The position of the individual as right-holder and duty-bearer in the international legal order: insights from national jurisprudence
  • The protection of global fundamental values by national and regional courts
  • The interplay between international and national jurisprudence in the creation, interpretation and implementation of international law;
  • The incorporation of international law in regional legal systems (e.g. EU, Andean Community, ASEAN, African organizations) and in non-mainstream, under-studied national legal systems (such as Brazil, China, Japan, and Russia)
  • The relationship between EU law and international law: critical views on recent developments;
  • Domestic courts and the sources of international law: uses and abuses
  • The implementation of the law of international responsibility in domestic and regional legal systems

Call for papers: UCL Journal of Law and Jurisprudence

UCL Journal of Law and Jurisprudence zaprasza do przesyłania tekstów (w tym z zakresu prawa międzynarodowego i europejskiego) do swojego kolejnego numeru (6(1)/2017). Czasopismo przyjmuje zarówno artykuły (8-12 tys. słów), glosy (6-8 tys słów) jak i recenzje (1-2 tys. słów).

The Max Planck Institute for Comparative Public Law and International Law zaprasza do udziału w konferencji (jako tzw. engaged listeners), która odbędzie się w dniach 11-14 maja 2017 r. nad jeziorem Como we Włoszech. Tytuł konferencji to "Remedies against Immunity? Reconciling International and Domestic Law after the Italian Constitutional Court’s Sentenza 238/2014". Zaproszenie jest skierowane przede wszystkim do młodych naukowców (doktorantów oraz postdoc'ów)

Netherlands Yearbook of International Law zaprasza do przesyłania tekstów do swojego nowego numeru (48/2017) zatytułowanego "Shifting Forms and Levels of Cooperation in International Economic Law: Structural Developments in Trade, Investment and Financial Regulation". Tematy którymi czasopismo jest szczególnie zainteresowane obejmują:
  • The changing function of international economic law
  • The movement from multilateral to bilateral, regional or plurilateral trade agreements
  • The role of emerging economies in the shift to regionalism

X Seminarium Warszawskie 14.10.2016 r.

W dniu 14 października br. odbędzie się już X Seminarium Warszawskie. Tegoroczna edycja organizowana przez Ministerstwo Spraw Zagranicznych we współpracy z Centralnym Zarządem Służby Więziennej poświęcona jest ochronie praw osób pozbawionych wolności i warunkom osadzenia. Podstawowym celem organizatorów seminarium jest upowszechnienie wiedzy nt. standardu strasburskiego odnoszącego się do warunków izolacji penitencjarnej i przeciwdziałanie w ten sposób naruszeniom praw osób osadzonych i skargom kierowanym przeciwko Polsce z tytułu naruszenia Konwencji o ochronie praw człowieka i podstawowych wolności.
