Working Group of Young Scholars in Pulic International Law ogłosiła call for papers dotyczący konferencji zatytułowanej "International Law and Domestic Law-Making Process", która odbędzie się 4 września 2015 r. na Uniwersytecie w Bazylei. Konferencja jest skierowana do młodych badaczy (doktorantów oraz postdoców).
Tematy, którymi są szczególnie zainteresowani organizatorzy, obejmują:
- When do domestic legislators legislate because of international norms – soft or hard?
- International law, domestic law-making processes and direct democratic institutions
- International law and sub-entities of federal states (e.g. international law in the law-making of cantons / Länder)
- Designing democracy: The ECHR and the organizational law of national parliaments and voting rules
- National parliaments as opposition in international law
- National parliaments as providers of legitimacy to international law
- Duties to protect (Schutzpflichten) and national law-making
- State responsibility and the legislative: e.g. the legislative branch in the preparatory works of the ILA Articles on State Responsibility or in international case-law such as before the ICJ or the ECtHR
- Domestic parliaments and the formation of customary international law
- The involvement and information of members of domestic legislatives prior to ratifications of international treaties
- International law and national law-making processes in transitional states / post-conflict societies
- Transnational legislative networks
- Methodological approaches on international law and domestic law-making
Propozycje referatów (max 500 słów) można przesyłać do 27 marca 2015 r. Organizatorzy przewidzieli możliwość wsparcia finansowego uczestników konferencji (w formie pokrycia kosztów podróży).
