Call for Papers: Beyond the Western Paradigm?:Towards a Global History of International Law (Stambuł, kwiecień 2016)

ESIL Interest Group on the History of International Law ogłosiła call for papers dotyczący warsztatów jakie zostaną zorganizowane w ramach European Society of International Law Research Forum (o tym wydarzeniu pisaliśmy tu), które odbędzie się w dniach od 21 do 22 kwietnia 2016 r. w Stambule. Temat warsztatów to "Beyond the Western Paradigm?:Towards a Global History of International Law". Organizatorzy są zainteresowania następującymi zagadnieniami:

• "histories" of international law from a global perspective with an emphasis on the historical state practice and intellectual history of indigenous people and non-Western States relating to international law
• the historical relationship and interaction between non-Western and Western international law including stories of participation and confrontation with respect to, for example, human rights, humanitarian international law, international criminal law, etc.
• the methodological challenges of a global history of international law, including questions of periodisation, epistemology, narrative, etc.

Propozycje referatów (maksymalnie 400 słów) można przesyłać do 15 grudnia 2015 r. Zaproszenie do udziału w warsztatach jest skierowane przede wszystkim do młodych naukowców (doktorantów oraz doktorów).
